Zukiswa Makunga

Designation: Trustee

Bio: Governance and trust professional with 10+ years’ experience in fiduciary oversight, stakeholder engagement, and strategic advisory roles. She serves as a BASF South Africa Trust Trustee and Advisory Board Member for a Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO), with expertise in compliance, financial oversight, and board-level decision-making.

Kumarasen Govender

Designation: Trustee

Mr Kumarasen Govender is an external trustee and former BASF employee with a background in chemistry and business. He has broad experience in industry and is committed to supporting youth education in science and technology.

Liz Brenner

Designation: Trustee

Bio: Biochemist and retired Wits University academic who served as Assistant Dean: Teaching and Learning. She has led key student access programmes and continues to lecture first-year students. Liz is a BASF Trust trustee, supporting students in Science and Engineering.
